All of the pictures here were taken whilst we were on local walks - the area is stunning in all seasons - winter's snow tipped mountains melt into spring's bubbling streams, summer's hazy lazy days at the side of the trout stream give way to the sun setting on the gold, red and brown of the autumn leaves.

Walks around Ben Nevis start at the doorstep!  The Kingussie Walks leaflet shows five different walks all of which pass the door.  Click here to download the leaflet. 

 

There are a number of other walks too.  The Wildcat trail which goes from Kingussie to  Newtonmore was recently shown in the Guardian 'best walks'. 

 

Those who want more strenuous walks can choose from the Monandhlith mountains and the Cairngorms.  Day walks and longer walks only for the more expeirenced can be found on numerous walking websites.  Our 'walking' page has some more details.
